It's Water Safety Day Wednesday at all four city pools
Residents are invited to join Scottsdale’s Aquatics and Fire departments as they team up for Water Safety Day from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, at all four city pools.
Scottsdale officially kicks off August by recognizing Drowning Impact Awareness Month during separate events at Eldorado, Chaparral, Cactus and McDowell Mountain Ranch pools. Water Safety Day is free and open to the public. This family event will focus on the ABC’s of water safety. It’s the fun and cool way to learn because games and activities for all ages will illustrate the merits of maintaining a safe environment around water. The lifeguards, collaborating with the Scottsdale Fire Department, will stage rescue demonstrations at all pools beginning at 2:30 p.m.
