Task force on southern area begins meetings Aug. 13

  Task force on McDowell Road and southern area

  begins meetings on Aug. 13

The new McDowell Road/South Scottsdale Task Force will conduct its initial meeting at 8 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, at the ASU offices at SkySong, 1475 N. Scottsdale Road, Ingenuity Conference Room 301.

The 15-member task force was appointed by the City Council to study the McDowell corridor and south Scottsdale area and how the area should be marketed as a place to live and work. The task force also will review potential ordinance or process changes that would help foster economic growth in the area.

Additional meetings are scheduled, all of them at SkySong, on the following dates:

• Sept. 10 - Global Conference Room, #201
• Oct. 1 - Global Conference Room, #201
• Nov.5 - Global Conference Room, #201
• Dec. 10 - Ingenuity Conference Room, #301
• Jan. 14, 2010 - Ingenuity Conference Room, #301
