Focus groups planned for southern area
business owners and
  operators

Members of the southern Scottsdale business community are invited to attend one of four focus group sessions to help identify goals and policies that will guide the city in efforts to enhance economic activity in the area.

The sessions are part of a process to create the Southern Scottsdale Area Plan, a document that will guide development in the area for the next decade.

All Scottsdale business and commercial property owners south of Indian Bend Road (excluding the Downtown area) are invited to participate.

The focus groups will consist of discussion among 10 to 12 participants responding to business and economic related questions. Moderated by a facilitator, the sessions should last no longer then two hours. To accommodate schedules, several dates will be offered for the exercise. Each of the groups will cover the same set of questions.

Here’s a focus group schedule. Each session takes place on a Thursday between 6 and 8 p.m.:

Date           Location

July 24      SkySong, 1475 N. Scottsdale Road

Aug. 7       Chaparral Park office, 5401 N. Hayden Road

Aug. 21     Granite Reef Senior Center, 1700 N. Granite Reef Road

Sept. 11    Kerr Cultural Center, 6110 N. Scottsdale Road

Registration is required and must be made by 5 p.m. July 17. For more information or to register, call Advance Planning at (480) 312-7990 or visit:
