Greater Airpark workshop scheduled for July 16

Community members are invited to participate in a “visioning priorities” workshop July 16 to help develop a long-range plan for the Greater Scottsdale Airpark.

The workshop will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Scottsdale Airport Terminal, 15000 N Airport Drive.

The workshop is the latest step in a process to develop a Greater Airpark plan that will guide development in the area for the next several decades. In May, more than 100 community members participated in workshops to discuss their visions for the Greater Airpark.

The July 16 workshop will build on that work. Participants will learn more about the proposed Greater Airpark Plan; hear the results of the May visioning series; review and prioritize visions for the Greater Airpark; and help guide the future of the area.

While registration is not required, it is recommended to ensure adequate materials are available for workshop participants. Registration can be made by calling Advance Planning at (480) 312-7990 or on the web at: http://www.scottsdaleaz.gov/planning/areaplans/GreaterAirparkCAP/GreaterAirparkPrioritiesWorkshopRegistration.asp

Community members are also encouraged to read the results of May’s events on the city’s Web site at:

Community members that are unable to attend the July 16 event are encouraged to participate in a “Virtual Workshop” that will be available on the city’s Web site from July 21 through Aug. 29. The Virtual Workshop will simulate the same activities as the actual workshop. Please check the website on July 21 for the link to the Virtual Workshop at:
