Greater Airpark vision meetings begin May 21
Residents, business owners and other interested parties have a chance to shape the future of the Scottsdale Airpark area next week by participating in one of several workshops to devise a Greater Airpark Area Plan.
Community members are invited to provide ideas and feedback for creation of the document, which will establish long-range goals for the area and will guide elements such as land use, transportation, economic vitality and regional connectivity.
To kick off the process, the city will be hosting several business and property owner forums and a public workshop. The events will offer numerous opportunities for discussion among community members and city staff.
The goal of each workshop is the same: to get dialogue started among the community and the city about the future of the Greater Airpark Area and to start creating a vision upon which long-range development policies can be built.
Here’s the meeting schedule:
- May 21 -- Business and Property Owner Forums, Alltel Ice Den, 9375 E Bell Road. Three sessions: 7:30 to 9 a.m.; noon to 1:30 p.m.; 6 to 7:30 p.m.
- May 22 -- Public Workshop, 7 to 9 p.m., Zuni Elementary School cafeteria, 9181 E. Redfield Road.
