  Southbound Loop 101 Freeway closure planned this weekend



The Arizona Department of Transportation plans the following restrictions this weekend for lane striping and other work to complete high occupancy vehicle lanes:

  • The eastbound/southbound lanes of the Loop 101 Freeway will be completely closed between State Route 51 and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard from 10 p.m. Friday, May 29, to 5 a.m. Monday, June 1. Traffic will be detoured on to southbound State Route 51 to Bell Road and then east to return to the Loop 101 onramp.
  • The southbound left lane on the Loop 101 Freeway will be closed between Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Via De Ventura from 10 p.m. Friday, May 29, to 5 a.m. Monday, June 1.
  • These northbound sections of the Loop 101 Freeway will be closed from 10 p.m. Monday, June 1, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, June 2: The Cactus Road on-ramp, the Raintree Drive off-ramp and the auxiliary (merging) lane between Cactus and Raintree.
