Freeway closures planned this weekend in the Scottsdale area
The Arizona Department of Transportation plans the following restrictions this weekend to permit construction of high occupancy vehicle lanes:
- Northbound lanes on the Loop 101 Freeway will be completely closed to traffic between Via de Ventura and Raintree Drive from 10 p.m. Friday, April 10, through 5 a.m. Sunday, April 12. Northbound traffic will be directed off the freeway at Via de Ventura and routed to Hayden Road. Traffic will continue northward to Raintree Drive where it will be directed back to the freeway. During the freeway closure, Hayden Road will be open to two through lanes in each direction at Shea Boulevard.
- Scottsdale Road will be closed in both directions at the Loop 202 Freeway from 10 p.m. Friday, April 10, to 5 a.m. Monday, April 13. Loop 202 ramps at Scottsdale Road also will be closed. The recommended detour route is McClintock Drive for north-south travel through the area.
