Downtown Scottsdale March Events Feature Arts Festivals,
Native Trails Performances and Courtyard Music

- March 6, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. - Festival Artwalk along Main Street and Marshall Way. Two of Scottsdale’s famed arts traditions meet in this prelude to the annual March arts festival. Hosted by the Scottsdale Gallery Association, www.scottsdalegalleries.com or call (480) 990-3939.
- March 7-9, 2008 from noon – 5 p.m. - 38th Annual Scottsdale Arts Festival. Featuring nearly 200 artists from North America on the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall. Works of art are available for purchase directly from the artists. Visitors also enjoy continuous live music and entertainment, an interactive performance, fun activities for children and families at Imagine Nation, delicious food and beverages, free admission to the SMoCA and free parking and shuttle service. - March 2, 23 & 30 at noon - Sunday A'fair Festival’s 19th Season. Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts provides a free afternoon festival featuring arts and entertainment on the grounds of the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall. - Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays throughout March, noon to 2 p.m. - Native Trails. No trip to Scottsdale is complete without experiencing the culture of Native America. Native American performers present musical performances using flutes and drums along with tribal dances that include the pow wow dance, fancy dance and hoop dances on the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall. Native foods, arts, crafts and jewelry are also available. Free admission

Historic Kiva Center (on the northeast corner of Fifth Ave. and Craftsman Court)
- Saturdays throughout the month, the Kiva Center is presenting "Music in The Courtyard" from noon to 3 p.m., sponsored by Sunrise Bank, 5th Ave Farmers Market, City of Scottsdale, and the Fifth Ave. Merchants Association.
- This same area is host to the Saturday Farmers Market featuring organic produce, flowers and crafts, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- March 15 - Kiva Center "First Pitch" event featuring celebrity baseball players
- March 22 - 5th Avenue Phoenix Film Festival Benefit Day. Come join the 5th Avenue Area Merchants in their support of the Phoenix Film Festival March 22nd and get your picture taken with " Camera Head" The famous mascot of the Phoenix Film Festival.
- March 22 - "5th Avenue's Fountain of Fashions" - Fashion show around the Bob Parks Horse Fountain featuring the latest trends from a wide variety of 5th Avenue Merchants, 2 p.m. at Marshall and 5th Ave.
