Scottsdale’s Parada del Sol Parade is this Saturday
The Old West comes alive this Saturday, Feb. 21, when the 56th annual Parada del Sol Parade takes place in Scottsdale.
The parade starts at 10 a.m. along Scottsdale Road beginning at Oak Street and running north to Indian School Road.
To accommodate the parade, Scottsdale Road will be closed from just north of McDowell Road to Third Avenue starting at 5 a.m. until about 1 pm. Saturday.
Other road closures during those hours will be Indian School from Marshall Way to 75th Street and 75th Street from Indian School to Osborn Road.
Motorists can use 68th Street, Hayden, McDowell, and Camelback roads as alternative routes during the parade restrictions.
Following the parade, spectators are invited to head over to the Trail’s End Celebration in Old Town Scottsdale from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The celebration will feature music, food and other fun stuff.
Saturday’s parade and celebration are just two of many Parada events. The fun culminates with the Parada del Sol Rodeo at Scottsdale’s WestWorld at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Feb. 27-28 and at 2 p.m. March 1.
