Channel 11 upgrade will affect programming

CityCable Channel 11, Scottsdale’s municipal television station, is installing new equipment next week that will require a reduction in programming.

Starting Tuesday, Feb. 17, and lasting about one week, regular station programming will be curtailed. Slides with information about city events and programs will continue to air, but pre-recorded video will not be available.

The Feb. 17 City Council meeting will be broadcast live, as usual. A replay of that meeting, normally scheduled Feb. 21, will not be shown. It will be available through the video-streaming service on the City's Web site. Replays of the meeting also will be available on DVDs available to the public at no cost by calling (480) 312-7948.

Three other meetings normally aired live in City Hal will not be shown -- the Parks and Recreation Commission on Feb. 18 and the Development Review Board and Transportation Commission meetings on Feb. 19. These meetings will be recorded and also made available on DVD at no cost.
