Loop 101 Freeway closures will take place this weekend
The Arizona Department of Transportation has announced the following freeway projects:
- The Loop 101 Freeway will be narrowed to two open lanes for northbound traffic between Cactus Road and Raintree Drive from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, through 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, to permit work to add HOV lanes to the freeway. During these dates and times, the northbound Cactus on-ramp and northbound Raintree off-ramp will be closed. Detour signs for the ramp closures will be in place. No southbound lane closures are planned over the weekend on this freeway segment.
- The Loop 101 Freeway will be completely closed in both directions at 64th Street from 1 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, through 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, to permit work to add a freeway interchange at this location. The westbound Hayden on-ramp also will be closed at this location. Detour signs will be in place. The recommended detour route is:
-- For westbound traffic: off at Scottsdale Road, south to Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard, west to 56th Street, north back to the freeway.
-- For eastbound traffic: off at 56th Street, south to Bell Road/Frank Lloyd Wright, east back to the freeway
