Registration deadline is Monday for Scottsdale Special Election

  Registration deadline is Monday for Scottsdale Special Election



The deadline to register to vote in the March 9 Scottsdale Special Election is Monday, Feb. 8.


Early voting begins Thursday, Feb. 11.  Six propositions will be on the Special Election ballot. Props. 100, 101, 102, 103 and 104 propose changes to the City Charter relating to elections. Prop. 200 proposes amendments to the Scottsdale Revised Code to increase the amount of transient lodging (“bed”) tax required to be paid by hotels on gross income.


A publicity pamphlet containing information on the ballot questions is being mailed to households of registered Scottsdale voters prior to the start of early voting. A copy of the pamphlet is available at: http://www.scottsdaleaz.gov/Assets/Public+Website/elections/031010ElectPamph.pdf.


In person early voting begins Feb. 11 at Election Central in Scottsdale City Hall, 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd. The polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through March 5. On Election Day, the polls will be open from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.
