Project NewsWe will do our best to provide the most current information; however, please remember that construction schedules sometimes need to be adjusted due to weather, materials scheduling, utility coordination, or various other factors.
Crews have been working to complete bridge construction for the east half of the bridge, with forming and pouring of final sections of retaining walls scheduled to take place over the next few weeks. Currently scheduled to begin the week of September 30th, crews will pour concrete and allow cure time for the final bridge deck, and pave Scottsdale Road over the bridge deck. To accommodate this activity, Scottsdale Road traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction, shifted to the west side of Scottsdale Road for approximately 3-4 weeks, and then shifted to the east side of Scottsdale Road for approximately 2-3 weeks. It is expected that dedicated right and left turns will be provided at the Pinnacle Peak/Scottsdale Road intersection.
Scheduled to take place the week of October 7th, crews will work to install a valley gutter, curb and sidewalk on the west side of Scottsdale Road, at Williams Drive. This work will take place one-half at a time so that Williams Drive can remain open, with left turns permitted.
SILVERSTONE DRIVE IS CLOSED AT SCOTTSDALE ROAD to accommodate construction of the bridge at the Rawhide Wash. The Appaloosa Library and Vi at Silverstone remain open and accessible via Williams from the east or Pinnacle Peak to Los Portones/74th Street. This closure, originally scheduled to be in effect until the bridge construction is complete, will remain in effect as the developer on the southeast corner has begun their work on excavation of the Rawhide Wash and preparing for construction on their parcel. Thank you for your continued patience during this closure.
While driving through construction can sometimes be challenging, please continue to patronize your businesses in the North Scottsdale Road project area.
